Welcome to Michoacana Rabbits, located in New Holland, Ohio. We are a small family rabbitry
consisting of My Husband and I, Uriel and Nikki Gaona-Maciel. The name of our rabbitry comes from my husband's home State
of Michoacan, Mexico. We Currently have a mixture of rabbit breeds and are hoping to focus more on the Harlequin breed. Right
now we have 2 Dutch bucks, 3 Harlequin Does, 2 Harlequin Bucks and sometimes Kits. We are a member of the AHRC
(American Harlequin Rabbit Club) and the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeder's Association) Rabbitry # C049. Hopefully we will be
able to show a few times next year.
Our Goal is to raise and sell rabbits that can be good family pets or meat rabbits.
All our rabbits are well cared for in large cages (we try to keep them at least 30"x30'' so they have plenty
of room to hop around) and even enjoy outside exercise in our rabbit play area (size and shape change occasionally but
usually 5-6' square). We try to keep our rabbits as comfortable and happy as possible. we feed Purina Manna Pro brand feed,
usually suplemented with Timothy hay and/or alfalfa chunks. And they love raisins or yogurt chips as the occasional
treat.
